i think this is one of our south asian culture! quite a bad one though... There is always an irresistible urge in knowing what others are upto, what others are doing for a living and so on...
Maybe, this has got something to do with the high population or something to do with less work productivity among individuals...

really? only south asian? I have my doubts though. I have full faith in universal brotherhood on this matter :p
well, curiosity might be a common characteristics among human beings...but this total invasion/peek into other's privacy can only be South asian.
even if westerners are curious, i think the urge to really blatantly stare or ask is quite limited, as per my experience :)
